Root canal treatment is a procedure performed to save a badly decayed or damaged tooth. When a tooth decays and the pulp is damaged, the bacteria multiply and spread, and can lead to an infection. This is the reason why it is vital for the infected pulp to be taken out. This is also a way to save the tooth without having to extract it.
During the treatment, the damaged pulp, and the nerve are removed from the inside of the decayed tooth so that the cavity can be cleaned. After cleaning the cavity, we will fill it in and seal it, restoring the tooth's appearance and function.
